As of April 2020, the 1st floor "Casita Tia Maria," is for rent -- accommodating 4 guests in 2 bedrooms (one queen and one twin that can be converted to king) plus kitchen, sitting and dining area, front and back porches, each with a dining table and chairs...and access to the spectacular views from the roof deck and eating pavilion. Rates per night are $150 per night.
(The owners are reserving the 2nd floor as their private home, and no other party will be in the house ever, except the owners when in residence.)
Situated on the warm, Caribbean side of the island, Casa Paso Fino is located on the highest, most quiet street in Esperanza yet in easy walking distance to the pubs and salsa music of the Malecon (promenade along the water front) and to the beach off the Malecon. For families, this provides flexibility for all: those who like breakfast on the Malecon can walk down while others sleep in or relax on the porches or deck; those who are happy to dance until all hours on the Malecon can walk home safely, and others can retire from their day at the beach earlier.
Sun Bay, the largest, beautiful half-moon bay on the island is visible from the roof deck. A vehicle is recommended, however, for getting there on hot days and for exploring the many beaches and small coves around the island. Publicos (van-taxis) are also available for transportation.
